Letter Writing Camp-aign
Oh, not another boring letter writing campaign I hear you say.
Well you could say that, but if you want equality for the LGB of the UK, and if you have any sense, you will join together with the majority of young LGB to achieve human rights changes.
The campaign is quite simple and will take only a few minutes of your precious time. Instead of watching mind-numbing rubbish on television you could be making important political changes.
Including the repeal of Section 28, the equalisation of the age of consent and allowing homosexuals to serve in the armed forces.
The government listens to letters, they are the only thing that they do seem to take note of.
A thousand people could write expressing that they do not want section 28 repealed, they would then need a thousand and one letters saying we do! That is the way it works. |

Every youth group in the country could make several standard letters which could be duplicated for every individual member of the group to sign and to send to their local MP.
It is important that the letter the MP receives asks a question or it will simply be disregarded. |

Study Says Robin Hood Was Gay!
A university professor's given a new meaning to the phrase, "Robin Hood and his Merry Men". Studies based on the original legend suggest that the man who robbed the rich, and gave to the poor, was gay.
Films have always shown Robin Hood as the hero who gets his Maid Marion. But now Stephen Knight from Cardiff university reckons there's more to Little John and Will Scarlet than meets the eye.
"It's a homo social world and there is a high bit of homo erotic activity.
There is feeling and affect going on there and much as you find the 'I'm a real man in the woods' stuff, there is also some gender politics."
He looked at early versions of the legend and found no Maid Marion and lots of boys own stuff.
"In the very earliest material, Marion doesn't exist at all. I associate Marion's inclusion primarily with the social upgrading of Robin Hood from a really tough bandit to a distressed gentleman. But the really tough bandit doesn't have girlfriends."
Let's have a look at an extract from the original legend:
"When Robin Hood was about 20 years old, he happened to meet Little John, a jolly brisk blade right fit for the trade, for he was a lusty young man."
Gay groups think the news is fantastic. Ian Walker from the tales of Robin Hood tourist centre isn't so pleased:
"There's no truth in it at all. Robin Hood is certainly Britain's most famous legend and this reared it's ugly head last year."
These people didn't seem too disappointed:
"Why should it matter ? If he was, he was."
"It doesn't bother me. Robin Hood can do what he wants - it's his life." |

Notes from the editor:
The postcard function is FINALLY fully operational! However the links, on the links page don't quite end up in the right place at the moment!
Articles are coming in now, thanks to the recently launched postcards & adverts in magazines.
Soon there will be a classifieds section on the site, which you can use however you want.
Also on the horizon is a HTML chat page, and the java one will probbally dissapear - it's too slow and people don't wait for it to download.
